Tabley residents and staff enjoy impromptu barbecue

After weeks of inclement weather the sun suddenly shone on Friday 3rd June – staff and residents grabbed the opportunity to quickly organised a lunch time barbeque to celebrate. Linda, our head chef, accompanied by her assistant chef, Jeanette, sweated over the hot barbeque in the brilliant sunshine to prepare burgers and sausages for over 60 people.

Residents, guests and staff all tucked in. Mary and Tash our activity staff kept the residents entertained as they were in charge of the bar – the Pimms and lemonade went down very well, followed by a choice of red, white or rose wine, beer or soft drinks. Dessert was a choice of freshly made ice cream cones, vanilla, chocolate or strawberry – what a delight on a beautiful summers day. Everybody enjoyed the afternoon with a big thank you and round of applause to the staff for all their extra hard work.
