Philosophy of care

At Tabley our aim is to provide a comfortable home for our residents so they can continue as active a life as they wish.

The wishes of our residents and their needs are paramount and all care is centred on that fact.

All care is planned in accordance with current guidelines, research and wherever possible the resident and their family is involved.

We offer our residents a home that recognises and respects their dignity and privacy. We also defend and uphold each individual’s human rights.

We offer access to an independent advocacy service if required.

Our residents are treated with respect at all times regardless of age, sex, race or religion.

Staff are available to discuss any matter that may arise with the resident or representative. Confidential information is treated as such.

We run a home where the residents maintain their individuality in comfort, safety and security.

Privacy & Dignity

At Tabley all residents have the right to be treated and nursed in a manner that ensures their privacy and dignity are maintained.

Any information given to staff from a resident is dealt with as the confidentiality policy instructs.

Staff knock on each resident’s door prior to entering the room.

When dealing with a residents' personal care, the nurses keep embarrassment to a minimum by encouraging as much independence as possible.

Bathroom doors are kept closed during bathing/toileting.
