Tel: 01565 650 888

Philosophy of care

TableyOur aim at Tabley House is to provide an environment that all residents can regard as their home.

The needs of our residents and their wishes are paramount and all care is centred on that fact.

All care will be planned in accordance with current guidelines, research and wherever possible the resident and their family will be involved.

We offer our residents a home that recognises and respects their dignity and privacy. We also defend and uphold each individual’s human rights.

Within the home we offer access to an independent advocacy service if required.

Our residents will be treated with respect at all times regardless of age, sex, race or religion.

Staff will be available to discuss any matter that may arise with the resident or representative. Confidential information will be treated as such.

We will strive to create a home where in comfort, safety and security, the residents can maintain their individuality.

Privacy & Dignity

At Tabley House all residents have the right to be treated and nursed in a manner that ensures their privacy and dignity are maintained.

Any information given to staff from a resident must be dealt with as the confidentiality policy instructs.

Staff must knock on each resident’s door prior to entering the room.

When dealing with a resident’s personal care, the nurses must keep embarrassment to a minimum by encouraging as much independence as possible and not subject the resident to excessive amounts of nurses being present.

Bathroom doors should be kept closed during bathing/toileting.
