Palliative & Terminal Care

All our staff are highly skilled and trained to deliver the highest standards of palliative care, using active care methods to improve pain and symptom control; promote dignity and choice.

Our palliative care aims to maintain and, where possible, improve quality of life for patients and their families.

We hold commend status for the Gold Standard Framework for End of Life Care. This incorporates the Liverpool Care Pathway (a nationally recognized plan of care to ensure best practice in the care of those who are dying).

We use the Integrated Pathway for Care of the Dying - a nationally recognized Gold Standard Multidisciplinary Tool when caring for residents diagnosed in the terminal stages of care.
