Tabley House Testimonials

What the residents' families have to say...

"Dear Karen and all staff,

Just a short email to say how immensely grateful we are to Tabley House staff. My Dad enjoyed being master of his own destiny and always used to say he never ever ever wanted to go into a Nursing Home. He rallied eight years ago after my mum, Dad's beloved J died and we kept in daily contact through the wonders of Technology. Aged 90, he was still driving to the local shops and library etc etc.

However when he had to mini stroke in early September it was obvious that he could not look after himself in Yorkshire and hence my wife K started urgently looking for a home close to us. It was immediately obvious to her that Tabley was the best and the only one worth serious consideration.

So, B was brought over and, despite the best endeavours of Tabley, still had not come to terms with "being in a home." However, after a while, when we brought him out, he was asking to be returned to Tabley because that was where he felt safe. As visitors, we have always been made immensely welcome and staff were always responsive and supportive. I also include associates such as Gail the physio and Dr Bayliss.

We were delighted that B was in your care. It was lovely to see B do his party piece of "there were Three Crows" on his 91st Birthday and for him to eat the home baked cake. I know B loved the food at Tabley.

And then we were onto the last stage of B's life where I was with him during all the days and then stayed on the last night. Again, I witnessed at first hand the amazing care by ALL staff. I have tears in my eyes as a write this, tears of sadness at Dad's passing and tears of joy for the dignity and love you continued to give him right to the end. It was super to see the interaction of each individual in their own way and the way it was reciprocated by B.

I am copying this to the Cygnet regional supervisor who I am sure is also justifiably proud of Tabley. I will recommend you to anyone who is in need and will take a stroll in the gardens every now and then to remember Dad's stay with you.

Once again, many many many thanks."

"I wish to express our extreme gratitude to all members of Tabley staff for their love and devotion in giving the very best level of care to Mum throughout her last 4-plus years at Tabley."

"My father was at Tabley for a little over three years and during that time I feel that he received from you the best possible care in the most pleasant surroundings."

"You certainly made a very great difference to my Mum's quality of life and greatly enriched her life as you did mine during her stay at Tabley House."

"Where do I start to say thank you to everyone who was so kind with her, and took such an interest in her that she felt they were all her friends."

'I know that though confused and increasingly infirm, my father appreciated the care and warmness shown to him. All my family thinks the same as myself - we were so very lucky to find Tabley House."
